The plan so far!
To fill you all in so you have a clue as to what I'm rambling about :
I am currently in a position where in 1 weeks time I will be unemployed, no new job lined up, but money in the bank to see me good for quite a while. My main career choice is to join the police force but was rejected initially due to points on my licence which clear this April. (Stupid points for a stupid reason, lets not go there!!) I could apply for the police next month and wait who knows how long to get in, but I've started to reasses what is going on in my life.
I'm about to verge on the wrong side of 25 and all the people around me seem to be settling down (or settling as much as they can!) or having children! I'm part way there in that I currently live with the other half, but I feel no where near ready for the marriage or children part just yet. I'm having far too good a time doing as I please when I please, and there is so much that I really want to do but simply haven't for one excuse or another.
This is why I have decided to take action! I've decided to travel the world, visiting various friends and places along the way to broaden my outlook on life and hopefully come back ready to settle down and finally concentrate on being an adult! As my lecturer once put it, I have the attention span of a flea!
So the itinery so far looks like this :
Vancouver to Edmonton : LA : Fiji :Auckland : Christchurch : Sydney : Perth : Johannesburg : Cape Town : LONDON!
Flights aren't booked yet as I have to renew my passport, which I sent yesterday, but once that comes back we're ready to start to serious planning.
The other things I need to sort are :
- Tenancy Agreement : 12 month contract
- Mobile phone : 12 month contract
- Gym membership : have forgotten where it is!
- Visa's for Oz and Canada : part sorted but can't complete until new passport arrives
- Inhalers : Do I stock pile for a year? I don't know???
- Credit card bill to pay off
- Where will I leave my 'stuff' I have acrued for the last few years?
- What do I take and how can I ship stuff back from Canada so the rest of the travelling is light?
Anyhow, hopefully next time I enter something here I can cross off atleast one thing from the above list.
Over and out

Awww, you're up and leaving us all! Don't forget to keep in touch as often as possible and we want plenty of postcards or the kids will never forgive you! ;-)
Of course, there will be postcards galore. I've been made to promise that to heaps of people so no chance of getting away with it!!!
